Description: This class will introduce students to great artists throughout history and different art styles. Each week, students will learn about a new artist, view some prints of their work and create a piece of work based on what they've learned. Many projects the students create will be seasonal and functional art pieces. We'll work with a variety of mediums such as collage, oil and chalk pastels, tempera, acrylics, colored pencil, watercolor and possibly clay. Students will learn many facets of art expression, gaining confidence in their own growth as artists.
