Description: If you are homeschooling under a school, this class will be listed as English 10, 11, or 12. Don’t miss out on a scholarship or admission opportunity because your scores were a few points too low! SAT preparation has been shown to significantly improve students’ scores, and students who have taken this class in the past have received up to full-tuition scholarships. This class will help the student fully understand the new SAT’s reading, writing, and math sections. In addition, we will work on vocabulary, comprehension of literary pieces, and writing skills. Students will be assigned sections of the book to complete each week and then will critically discuss these in class. Test taking strategies will also be worked on. About an hour of outside work will be required each week, but will vary. Class attendance is MANDATORY. NOTE: Running Start students need to take the SAT when transferring to a 4-year college.
