Description: Dive into what makes science fun and meaningful - mysteries, puzzles, teamwork.  Explore the full scope of the sciences as we study the fundamentals and language of science.  Understanding the building blocks of scientific concepts and terminology promotes more thorough and practical understanding of the complex material common in all advanced science classes.  Not only will this class provide foundational concepts and study skills for students looking ahead to higher level (high school and college) science classes, but more importantly enable students to better understand scientific concepts critical to making effective personal and social choices.  Students can expect weekly reading assignments and research activities to total 3-4 hours per week.  High School Science credit will be given to students completing all homework and semester projects.
