Description: "Round The World Language Sampler" is a way to take a trip around the world without leaving home. We will learn simple introductory phrases of 8-10 languages and learn something about the culture and people of the countries where those languages are spoken. Fun lessons will include songs, food, costumes, and folk stories of each land. Simple language acquisition skills will be learned to prepare students for travel as tourists, business workers, or missionaries. We will start with European languages, move across Russia to Japan and China, and back to the Middle East before the year is completed. Homework should be 1-2 hours per week.
