Prerequisite: Must have played a band instrument for two years or with permission of instructor. Also must be enrolled in a concert band class, unless they have played for more than 3 years. Need permission of instructor to join, unless they were in this class last year.
Cost: $26 per month for first child; $12 for any additional siblings. Adults play for free;

Description: This is a continuation of last year’s Intermediate Jazz Band. New students with no prior jazz experience will be allowed to join by permission of the instructor. We will continue to learn to play by ear, learn to improvise, and learn to play in rock, swing, and Latin styles. We will have two concerts per year and one band festival in March. We also may play at a swing dance. Attendance is required at all performances. Students are expected to practice 20-30 minutes a day, 5 times a week. Sheet music will be on loan to the student and must be turned in when done. If you have any questions, email Robin at stangla@comcast.net.
