Description: We will look at the development of Western Literature through British authors, reading from Chaucer, Bunyan, Shakespeare, Austen, DeFoe, Scott, Dickens, Lewis, and others. We will read some complete books and samples from others; in addition, we will attempt various aspects of modern fiction writing. Plan on an hour of writing per week, in addition to reading.
